I have posted a lot of bad news in the last few days. From the economy, our failing health care and the fact that they have attacked the iphone and other phones as well. Enough bad news already. The time we spend here on earth is only temporary. Eternity awaits. We may have inconveniences in the natural but God has defeated all of those things in the supernatural. The good news is........
"The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." (John 10:10 NIV)
"Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent." (John 17:3 NIV)
Then the King will say to those at His right hand, Come, you blessed of My Father [you favored of God and appointed to eternal salvation], inherit (receive as your own) the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. (Matthew 25:34 Amplified Bible) Whoo Hoo that is for us!
Keep your eyes on Jesus, who both began and finished this race we're in. Study how he did it. Because he never lost sight of where he was headed—that exhilarating finish in and with God—he could put up with anything along the way: Cross, shame, whatever. And now he's there, in the place of honor, right alongside God. When you find yourselves flagging in your faith, go over that story again, item by item, that long litany of hostility he plowed through. That will shoot adrenaline into your souls! (Hebrews 12:2 the message bible)
Remember these things and don't be intangled by all the negative in the world. For that matter, choose to block out the bad. We have a choice. Stuff may happen (to us) but don't let it take your eyes off of HIM.

I totally agree and love this blog entry. When things get bad, it's very easy to dwell on that for a long time, but when you really look back over a span of years, the good far outweighs the bad.
